Thread on the Republican Red Wave.

The Presidential election news is the number one story. But the other major story of this election season is the outstanding showing by Republicans in the House and state legislature races.

It has turned out to be a very good year.

The GOP also did extremely well in the Senate elections, where it was expected that the Dems would likely flip the Senate. That has not happened.

We are hearing about the likely fraud in MI regarding John James and the Georgia runoffs.

At the same time, there were several states where the Dems had high hopes that were not realized.

Here is a rundown of the Senate successes:

Maine:

Susan Collins was running behind leftist Susan Gideon according to the leftist polls.

She was expected to be done in by the Barrett vote.

She was expected to be done in by Kavanaugh vote

She was the special target of the loathsome Lincoln Project.

After all of that, she won easily with an 8.9% margin.

Susan Collins, R 51.1%

Sara Gideon, D 42.2%

New England Republicans really are different, and this is one of the few times I am grateful for that.

She would have been gone anywhere else

Montana:

Montana's Democrat Governor and erstwhile White House candidate Steve Bullock was supposed to give GOP incumbent Steve Daines a run for his money for the Senate race.

Bullocks' approval ratings have been generally good.

It was not to be.

Montana Senate results:

Steve Daines (R) 55%

Steve Bullock (D) 45%

Another GOP landslide victory

Although this section of the thread is about the Senate races, it is important to point out that the Democrats were losers in the Governor race as well.

Montana Governor results:

Greg Gianforte (R) 54.4%

Mike Cooney (D) 41.6%

On to Kentucky, where the Republican landslide is especially gratifying.

For two years, Schumer's handpicked 'mainstream' candidate Amy McGrath spent a fortune on one of the most tasteless, blockheaded and pointless campaigns in recent history.

The goal: to defeat the Mitch McConnell, who has been the arch enemy of the Democrats since long before Trump's candidacy

McGrath managed to create a bonfire with $88 million.

Yes, $88 million.

Here are the results:

Mitch McConnell (R) 57.8%

Amy McGrath (D) 38.2%

McConnell won in a blowout with a 19.6% margin

Next stop, South Carolina and another Republican victory.

Another favorite target of the Democrats - Lindsey Graham.

The Dems chose a far left candidate who became the first Senate candidate to spend more than $100 million on the race.

South Carolina Senate results:

Lindsey Graham (R) 54.5%

Jaime Harrison (D) 44.2%

Another double digit landslide for the GOP Senate.

One of the heroes of the Battle of Kavanaugh is back for another six years

Iowa was one of the states where the Dems thought they had a good chance to win.

For the last year, leftist Theresa Greenfield was promoted by the media as the likely victor in the contest against GOP incumbent Joni Ernst.

Charlie 'Hillary landslide' Cook, notorious leftist pollster, assured the Dems that Greenfield was the likely winner until a week before the election.

Iowa Senate Race results:

Joni Ernst (R) 51.8%

Theresa Greenfield (D) 45.2%

Ernst won, and it wasn't close, with a margin of 6.6%

The North Carolina Senate race was another top target for the Dems.

Incumbent Thom Tillis looked vulnerable and Cal Cunningham was another cookie cutter fake-moderates that the Dems choose to win over wavering Republicans.

But Tillis pulled it off, with the help of Trump's coat-tails, a strong debate performance and Cunningham's timely self-destruction.

Timothy Fox R

North Carolina Senate Race results:

Thom Tillis (R) 48.7%

Cal Cunningham (D) 46.9%

Tillis won with a margin of 1.8%

@timr

Right now we have an epic swing against the Dems in the House and a GOP Senate hold.

And Biden won by a landslide? Huh?

This is a rigged election.

@timr
This Thom Tillis-Cal Cunningham race should not have been this close, but a win is a win.

@redwhitebluedude @timr
Now we need to audit the Cooper ballots.
