If DOJ have dropped that many counts against Assange, including the Vault 7 leak, it suggests Assange may have given DOJ something valuable.
They declined prosecution against Strzok for leaks last week, almost certainly as part of a plea deal.
If true about Assange, I wonder what he gave DOJ ?

@REX if he was a part of the Swamp plan to de-fang the military(along with Snowden and Manning), then the dirt he gave them will be big.

It is my understanding that if the 1+17 charges against Assange can be made to stick, a precedent will have been set that allows the government to go after news organizations that encourage & help others to leak classified info.
In other words, it would be one thing to accept leaked info, yet another matter entirely to assist in gaining access to the leaked info.
For too long many in the media have been hiding behind the 1st Amendment concerning these issues.
@REX I really hope the declining to prosecute Strozk was due to a Plea Deal.
If it should happen that central figures in the Spygate saga will go unpunished and unprosecuted, it will disillusion a lot of people....
