Folie à deux is shared psychosis.

I'm positive that Ilhan Omar and her political consultant-lover Tim Mynett are in the throes of a folie à deux.

Mynett always smiled broadly in photos with his wife.

When he was married, Mynett had to pretend to be normal.

But Omar is as sociopathic as he is, so she doesn't care about his flat affect.

He could drop the act when he was with her.

This guy is REALLY messed up.

All he cares about is power.

He and Omar would be like wild animals together. Pure lust and rage and admiration for each other's total ruthlessness and fraudulence.

They're like Bonnie and Clyde.

Or Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate.

I'm not worried about Omar.

She's already destroyed herself.

As ruthless as SHE is, Trump's people are even more.

But they're ruthless in the name of US. Trump finds people who are motivated entirely by doing the right thing.

They have no qualms about defeating the opposition in any way necessary.

But I still find it striking that Tim Mynett dropped all pretense of being normal as soon as he hooked up with Omar.

People are dazzled by psychopaths.

It happened to me once. She looked exactly like Isabelle Adjani.

I has one of those long ago. The amount of damage that was done was and in, incalculable. It pops up even now , makes me sad and still a bit angry with myself for it

@masterblaster @ThomasWic Don't be too hard on yourselves. You got free. Most of us feel angry with ourselves about bad relationships even if we were the positive friend or partner. Relationships with bad people leave a psychic venom. All you can do is persevere and listen to your inner warning system when a similar person makes your acquaintance.

@Joycevor @masterblaster @ThomasWic Very true. The "no contact" rule works best. It is hard enough in romantic relationships, and it can be worse when these people are in your family because you have to drop them too. I have no guilt about it though. These people are pure poison. Anyone who has been burned by a sociopath is likely very cautious. Now anytime I meet a very charming person with a magnetic personality, it sets off alarm bells big time.
