Belk-Gallant used to have excellent products, pricing, and service here in the South. Later, as the Macy's, Herrod's, took over Davison's and Rich's, Sears started to falter and the slow demise of the "Department Store" took place. I see Belk-Gallant has become "Gallant-Belk" finally to Belk or Belk's. It appears that the History of the company is being "muddied" by internet search engines. Funny how that is happening.
