Just a thought..."The Physician's Tale" from Chaucer tells of a judge who devises a scheme to deflower a young maiden who happens to catch his eye.
The tale has never been regarded seriously by academia.
I believe Chaucer was the Assange of his time. The Canterbury Tales=Wikileaks....


It appears you either have a piss-poor opinion of one of the greatest writers in the English language, or an absurdly inflated opinion of one of the sorriest snake oil salesmen who ever lived.

By the way, Chaucer describes a slew of common characters. The lecherous doctor, the drunken priest, the unfaithful wife...

He's an observer, not a whistle blower.

And he does so with humor. Maybe you should learn that, if nothing else.
