ALL western tanks have had stabilized main guns for more than forty years.
Tankee no rockee.
Also, the Iranian tank uses an automatic loader.
It's much slower than the human loader of the American M1 Abrams.
The mullahs showed their hand. Now everybody knows about their weaponry.
The Saudis intercepted a cruise missile, but we don't know how.
The missile caught fire and broke apart in midair.
Missile defense systems allow you to calculate the impact site.
The Saudis decided that they would take the hit, because it wouldn't do that much damage, and it would prove that Iran is indeed trying to start a war.
Trump and the Saudis responded with 100 percent confusion.
It's absolutely brilliant.
When your enemy has no idea what's happening, that gives YOU the advantage.
Twice now, Trump has said, "I could've bombed them, but I decided not to."
Our enemies foreign and domestic--I'm talking about YOU, Tulsi Gabbard--have nothing they can use against Trump.
Currently Gabbard is the only Democrat talking about war.
The others fell for the Ukraine trap.
And while all of this is happening, the Saudis are doing who knows what.
The Saudis send out disinformation about how they can't do anything unless we help in a huge way.
The reality is that the Saudis have eight years' worth of combat experience in the Third Revolution in Military Affairs (3RMA).
They don't need us to do any heavy lifting.
Sun Tzu said that the prudent commander keeps his plans secret even from his own men.
I'm positive that Trump tells Pence what he wants, and Pence does it without asking questions.
Pence trusts Trump.
It's clear that others don't, so they're let go.
In the same way that Trump keeps his plans secret, the Saudis keep THEIR plans secret from us.
Even from Trump.
But he doesn't need to know.
Trump and the Saudis have a big-picture plan, but Trump isn't being briefed on specific steps.
Americans have a cultural deficit of CYA. We're always afraid of being held responsible for failure.
Trump isn't afraid, so he takes calculated risks that others find unacceptable.
Before he was elected, Trump said, "If I fail, it'll be MY FAULT. Nobody else's."
Tulsi Gabbard is a mediocrity who will never get anywhere.
It's because she can't conceive of the relationship Trump has with other world leaders.
Tulsi is forever stuck in the pre-Trump era.
Why did we have a state dinner for AUSTRALIA?
My guess is that Australia provided evidence of the attempted Democratic coup.
So Trump is honoring them.
Trump's world is an iceberg. We see only about 10 percent.
I've been following the wars in the Middle East since 2011. Following them daily.
Trump learned from Bush's many mistakes. Doing things slowly and secretly is the best way.
Iran puts out videos of crappy weapon systems that will kill Iranian soldiers.
The Saudis keep most of their capabilities under wraps.
Idiots are fooled.
I'm not an idiot.
@ThomasWic I love QuodVerum Social....so often because of this Dude. Thank You Mr. Wictor!
@ThomasWic yes, you certainly are not.
@Dubby I would say there is hope for everyone on this platform. The decision to come here at least shows their not complete idiots.
@WarriorPoet from what I've read, the vast majority of people here are sensible, courteous and willing to learn.
TRUMPs world is an iceberg
The Sleazocrats bought tickets on the TITANIC
@ThomasWic Brilliant, as usual! I am at peace letting Trump work his magic.
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage
Excellent thread, Sir. You're a great teacher. You write these threads that are chock-full of info but that even I can understand. I wish I had teachers in history classes that taught like you. They just didn't grab my attention, ever. So, thank you.
@2020_DJT @ThomasWic I was lucky enough to have a phenomenally great history teacher who brought awesome people in history alive. I still love the “people” who changed the world. Not much on battles & dates but fascinated by the people who rose to the occasion & changed the world. I think my great grands will be learning about Trump!!!
@ThomasWic This is all so interesting.
@ThomasWic another Wictor thread that is right on. I'm glad to see that you thought that of the Australians visit. The WH worked so hard in making it known that they went all out, I came to same conclusion. U.K. Ukraine Austrlia.... seems like the Int. parties that helped with Russiagate are all coming to Trumps side.
In keeping his plan secret and showing only the tip of the iceberg, it really tests those who say they are on Trump's side as well. If they get impatient and lose it over the supposed inaction from Trump they really are not Trump supporters.
And it is an honor.
He is always saying, 'It is my great honor...' and he knows how to honor others.
Anyone hear the rumor that Tulsi was less than liked by fellow pilots?
@ThomasWic True and everything you wrote makes sense. But I have to say, I was watching the 2018 video of Trump & MbS earlier and couldn't help but smile at this. Thinking that when MbS spoke - in English - it was as if the Prince almost let the cat out of the bag. Alluding to these 2 planning to fix the world. At least that's what my brain heard. 😄
MbS has spoken English in public only twice.
In both cases, he was addressing Trump.
Note that there were TWO interpreters here, but MbS chose to speak for himself.
By speaking English, he sent a powerful message.
World leaders speak their own languages so as to not appear subservient. MbS was showing that with Trump, none of that matters.
We can all move past that stuff and work together as equals.
The video was the first I’d heard of MbS speaking English.
Absolutely correct that the so-called diplomatic approach went out the window with Trump. That’s what we wanted. No double speak.
Just the fact that Middle Eastern country leaders all met together with our new President to discuss what needed to be done to stop the radicals was brain burning.
Trump sets a work ethic such has never been seen in WH.
@ThomasWic @Baline MBS (Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud) sounds wonderful! He has a deep voice like his father, the king. I saw a video of Prince Faisal bin Mishal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz al Saud (Yes, that’s his full name) speaking in English and he has that same deep voice so it runs through the entire male al Saud family. He’s the grandson of King Saud.
Kim, thanks for posting this clip. A favorite here. 👍 👏 ❤️
This clip shows how very comfortable and collegial are Trump and MBS. When Trump holds up his posters of the deal while focusing on talking into cameras, MBS patiently and willingly goes with a human moment of having the posters sit almost in his lap the way POTUS holds them. He is giving space and respect for his colleague POTUS to take that moment to speak to the the American people. Grace and integrity.
2) of Thread
At time 3:30 is a dynamic, wonderful moment. Trump is talking to Americans about how ISIS has been pretty much routed in Syria with "a lot of territory regained, almost 100%". This clip is March 2018. POTUS says this, then ends it with this, as he turns to MBS: "as you have probably heard... before anybody". MBS sniffs with knowing smile. As Wictor's threads have indicated, there is a high likelihood SA and UAE were the ones who likely accomplished that.
That was a moment caught on national television where POTUS and MBS enjoyed a private little moment of acknowledging the success and brilliance of MBS and GCC's successful strategy. Trump could not resist the hat tip to KSA for the progress that neither of them can talk about yet.
At a point earlier in the clip... around 2:40-2:50... POTUS mentions that relations between US and KSA were not good with the prior admin, was "strained". MBS looks down and smiles, in a way that to me, cross-culturally even, would be the way someone's face arranges during an unfortunate truth being stated, IMHO. Trump says relations are now the best they have ever been. MBS gives one solid discreet head bob of a nod.
@barrsniffsatjejuneanalysis @ThomasWic It's so wild to watch after all that has happened in the past year and a half coupled with Thomas'a threads explaining so much about Trump, MbS, & the GCC. Sort of like watching a great mystery movie that ties all the clues together at the end and has you jumping up to applaud. 😀
Yep, good description. There are high level people and related consultants... and their thinking will never make mainstream. Why would the good ones and their strategies go on MSM? Not.
What is being portrayed and discussed on media by ME talking heads is from people who cannot think beyond the thoughts and approaches that did not work. The "fruits of their labor" led to debacles in Afganistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria. They did not work. So why are they experts now?
@ThomasWic Can you explain why Iran would want anyone recording substandard military tech? I like that the USA and KSA both parade publicly known tech, but there's a bunch of military secrets that are both in use and in the works. We get mere glimpses of it occasionally but they cover tracks. Is it possible this is Iranian disinformation or are they this arrogant?
Maybe, just maybe, specific reconnaissance, or specific munitions.... probably in past tense...
Gabbards’s Winter Soldier schtick is getting old. ,has been old. It was old with Jawn Kerry 49 years ago and it hasn’t improved with age. Gabbard ,likeKerry , rides her 214 like a draught horse
She and Buttigieg both lied and said they're combat veterans.
They make me sick.
Yep. They;re fit only to be scraped off of shoe soles
@ThomasWic My 7th grade English teacher Mrs. Deffenbaugh, when discussing Madam Defarge in Dickens, "A Tale of Two Cities", commented that women are kinder than men. But when women lose their virtue or kindness, they are much more cruel than men.
It is clear what type of woman associates with brutes and thugs.
On this point, I'll never forget when someone told me that women are much more common than men are.
I learned that first hand when servicing some teller machines in the side storage inside a remote drive-in teller building when the three tellers started to 'yak' forgetting i was there.
I believe women are more virtuous than men. I believe women innately embody virtues men must discipline themselves to obtain.
But when a woman loses these endowed gifts, they can be more ruthless than a man ever would.
That was the point of my teacher and I found it to be true.
Those who label words as violence do so with the sole purpose of justifying violence against words.
