Here is what this platform will avoid.
If you as users get into fights over something as stupid as "deadnaming," we'll probably end up banning everybody involved.
On both sides.
@Debradelai gets the final say, of course, but I don't see him allowing this place to become a battleground for those who love temporary societal fads.
I suffer from a medically proven allergy to stupid.
I'm already getting an eczema from the morons pushing Q horoscopes, too.
@Debradelai @ThomasWic Some people ween faster than others. Even REX had a positive thread on Q at one time. I don't think it will take too long now that this place is here to pull them off the teat and have them eating solid food. One of the positive side effects of putting a little distance between them and the crazy side of twitter.
@Debradelai @ThomasWic I must admit though, one of the smartest guys I know is into folks like Jordan Sather and David Wilcock. Conspiracy theory stuff isn't a thing you can think your way out of once you warp your brain with it. You just have to stop doing the drug long enough to be free of its influence. That's what this stuff is, it isn't "stupid" its "addictive" to a certain type of mind. Being smart can't inoculate someone against such influence. QV can break them of the habit!
Call it what you will.
By definition, anybody who subscribes to idiocies is an idiot.
Further, I am not in the business of curing stupid. That is not my problem.
In fact my aversion to stupid is only superceded by my aversion to bigotry, though in the end both are sides of the same coin.
@Debradelai @ThomasWic Hey, even Epoch times has a pseudoscience section: https://www.theepochtimes.com/c-uplift-beyond-science
This stuff is the hobgoblin of plenty of otherwise gifted minds. Not that I'm asking you to fix stupid, but this place you are building will have that side effect.
And I'm not asking you to show any patience for any of it, you have other fish to fry, as it were.
@ThomasWic @redwhitebluedude @pseudokapi @Debradelai Thomas, I did ask you on twitter once if you'd ever looked at the Port Arthur massacre in 1996 in Tassie? Is it OK to believe in a conspiracy if it has all the hallmarks of one? Just asking for your opinion, if you have one, on this highly irregular occurrence. If not, no worries.
dare i enjoin lest i am forever ousted? i just prefer not to be pigeon holed. some conspiracies are theory only until proven by the light of day. i like to broad range. if i read Q that doesn't make me stupid, it says i am curiously observing. i draw my own conclusions sifting information of all kinds.
remember that a lot of science fiction has come to fruition. what was once fictional fantasy or in the realm of imaginative prophesy now has arms and legs. i say be careful of being too narrow. true there is a considerable pudding brained fringe out there, but any intellectual application can dismiss that in hand. sift/sort/research and draw your own conclusions from what there is of value.
@pseudokapi @Debradelai @ThomasWic I have to agree. I stumbled onto the Q thing by accident and checked in once in a while. It was interesting but to vague to take seriously. Like checking your horoscopes at the beginning of the week and waiting for those things to happen. However I do believe that it has served a positive point in that it riled up people who otherwise would not have paid attention to politics. They started researching and learning more than their civics class. Now they care!!
Sure. All those assholes claiming that McMasters had Trump drugged, that Marines were parachuting in Langley and that there were 70,000 "secret indictments," (what are they now, 1,000,000?)
Hey, what about Hillary in Guantanamo?
Give me a break.
They learned nothing, they know nothing, and they have an IQ lower than lemurs.
Positive my arse.
What is this place? If not a battleground, perhaps a staging grounds.
For parades and rallies or for ideas and kudos?
If it is a replication of Twitter, Twitter it will be. If it is not, what?
Reddit has subs for specific ideas to keep the groups seperate. Is that a goal or a homogenized some kind of safeplace?
Serious questions that have bpthered me all day.
I gotta go back to work 😢.
Those who label words as violence do so with the sole purpose of justifying violence against words.
