You never proved that the Bible did. Now, my answer was that one had as much to do as the other.

When did people in one of the most free nations on earth, lose the ability to study something without merging into it and feeling it forced them into a belief system? There is no question that The Bible is historically significant and it should be taught HOW to study it. Many things can be learned from this study, such as learning to check out translations from different languages, how to document and source and argument, how to objectively view information that one may or may not agree with.

This is just excellent.
The keyword of President Trump's 2019 tweet was "option". The Bible is an historic compilation of books that have effected the formation of America's exceptional Constitutional Republic form of governance. The foundations of law in this nation were taken from Common Law which was taken directly from The Bible's instructions. If someone is going to have an emotional meltdown over the mere mention of the word Bible, they should at least be taught to have coherent arguments against the content.
Everyone should know how to study The Bible and have a general idea of what is contained, IMO. This should be available to students. Even if someone disagrees, they should be able to have a scholarly argument and know how to document their claims.
