One of the principles in interactions/faith in God is what we call faith...or trust.
And one of the most powerful, yet elusive Christian 'skills' is patience.
The Bible is full of counsel to just 'Wait'. To wait on the Lord. That those who wait are never disappointed/failed.
And the same ability, that ability to wait until His plans are made manifest, is shown in our own sphere these days.
Those who can 'wait' possess a peace. Those who cannot 'wait' are bounced from here to there, driven by one opinion to another.
As James descried it, "...the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind."
Not me. I've decided to trust.
And am willing to wait.
@Rock I'll tell ya something I've only told my husband. This election has filled me with anxiety & fear for my country. Three times I earnestly & desperately pleaded to God for the USA. Three times my answer was "peace, be still". After the 3rd time, I knew I got my answer.
My nature is to be anxious. That divine peace didn't last long. But I don't dare ask a 4th time, lest God thing His daughter has rocks for brains 😂
He already KNOWS we have rocks for brains and that our faith is as water. He knows we are nothing but dust.
But you know what is amazing and cool?! He loves us and likes us and yearns for our company anyway!!
He knows all of our super dark secrets and wants us anyway!
He dances and sings over us! Zech 3:17
I'll tell you something: He's DELIGHTED that you keep coming back! He hungers for you and your company and for your requests and for your questions!
He is in serious love with you and is ecstatic that you come to Him over and over rather than giving up.
He wants to be your oracle. He wants to be your wisdom.
He's promised to be that.
Just trust Him and wait on Him.
He's coming!

Actually, He's being patient with me already. He gave me divine peace 3 times & what did I do?! I went back to worrying in less than a day! 🤦♀️
