@Stefanie Complacency. The same complacency that preceded Pearl Harbor, The Battle of the Bulge, the Chinese attack over the Yalu River, TET, and 9-11. Unfortunately we will point back to complacency after the next “Intelligence failure”.
@Stefanie I am sure there were IDF intelligence analysts screaming at the top of their lungs that an attack was imminent, but the leviathan of military/political bureaucracy cannot be convinced of the “Black Swan” because their carefully crafted plans won’t support it. The most important part of planning is to scrub assumptions constantly.
