2. As always you need to have a look around to work out what's happening.
Like the fact that in April, the powers that be at CFA stupidly appointed progressive, Trump-hating Cheryl Batchelder to their board.
3. As well as Dale Jones, progressive and 'diversity' nut.
Both are typical of the elitist managerial class these days - they move from corporation to corporation, swimming in a 'I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine' network of patronage and favors, spouting whatever motherhood statements and virtue signalling BS is required to make a buck.
Plus, they genuinely believe that they're very, very special human beings.
4. Some fool at CFA got suckered in by this type of gobbledygook :
'Most boards in the U.S., unlike in Europe, don’t have term limits. As a result, you don’t have as much fluidity around the movement of people on boards, in order to bring in new and fresh blood into the boardroom' (Jones)
Anyone get past 'fluidity'? LOL. Meaningless mumbo jumbo.
And honestly, to use European companies as any sort of benchmark or example as the way forward is hilarious. It's foolish.
5. Oh well, Chick Fil-A.
You let the foxes into your coop.
They will destroy your company. Count on it.
Today is evidence that they already have. Millions will never go to CFA again. Millions more will go far less than they once did.
All because you pandered to narcissistic folk, who don't care about your business and despise your customers.
Just when they were doing well, they choose to shoot themselves on the foot.
@redwhitebluedude @REX companies do stupid stuff all the time. They have all been infected with SJW crap and the only people who can be blamed for this are the conservatives. They take everything lying down. I bet there will not be a mass boycott of CFA because of this. To the left politics is a religion and they live for it. For the right it is not so much. That is why the right is at a disadvantage and will lead to bad things I'm the future.
AKA "a self-licking ice cream cone."
@REX This is really the main issue and one of the reasons Trump goes to such great lengths to vet everyone.
@REX I never eat Chick-fil-A Not because of the brand , but fried food covered with starch is not good for your health. So good I never try it in the future.
@REX Heartbreaking news, hopefully Chick-Fil-A will do the right thing and fire these Board Directors if there's immediate pushback.
I frickin' love CFA, had no idea they allowed in stupid Obama holdovers. God willing, after OIG Report hits, those two SJW nitiwits will scurry off.
I just got on their website & sent this in the comment section:
"I notice below you say you don't promise to take any action with my idea. I hope you do, because if you don't, you stand to lose a lot of business.
"It's being reported today that you have decided to stop contributing to Salvation Army and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Big mistake. I patronize restaurants that do NOT disparage Christian values. You have taken the first step in going down that disparagement road."
Unless you reverse course, my family will regrettably stop eating at your establishments. It's a real shame, too, because my family loves Chick-Fil-A food. We know, however, there are other chicken restaurants.
@REX Just like Gillette, Cocoa Cola, etc. I will never spend a dime on any of their products again.
@REX The question becomes, who will they donate to instead? No doubt some leftwing group. As you said, they let the foxes into the hen house and it will bring down their company.
@REX Someone corrected this allegation. Evidently Chick Oil-A was at the end of a 3 year commitment to support these groups and published their new list of charities. New charities were added but some were dropped. They were not dropped for the specific reason but only because they were giving to other groups.
We should know by now how the left twists the truth.
You're right on point.
Some people fall for this crap. They grant stakeholder status to agitating malcontents, then wonder what happened.
@REX it'll open up more opportunities for CF than not. Not a hill I am willing to die on that's for sure. Next.
@REX Ha that explains it! She was also CEO of Popeyes what a stellar company that turned out to be.
