The NY Post article says "Batgirl" was supposed to go to HBO Max also, but is instead "completely shelved."

@nypost: "'Irredeemable' 'Batgirl' movie gets 'shelved' by Warner Bros despite $70M price tag: source "

So, the drought in large parts of the panhandle the past year+ AND the rising cost of hay means that lots of underweight cows are being sent to market early. The ranchers can't afford to feed the cows they have.

They are also sending a lot more young heifers to market. Which will reduce the supply even moreso in years to come.

Buy a freezer. Stock up on beef.

So, a musical toot.

I don't like The Rolling Stones. Never have.

However, I really like Duran Duran.

The band took their name from the bad guy in the movie Barbarella, for pete's sake.

Like I'm not gonna like THAT?

Here's the band live in concert less than two months ago.

They still got it.

A little progrock for all of you.

When Peter Gabriel left Genesis, they left their earlier sound behind. No longer would there be an album-side "story".

Phil Collins was suffering. His marriage was failing, and he took a break from the band to save it.

He failed.

He returned to the band. To do the album Duke.

They originally wanted to have one side of the album be a "suite" about what Collins was dealing with. The label disagreed.

Here is that Duke Suite.

So Nichelle told a particular story a LOT.

She was about to quit the show. She was tired of saying 'Hailing frequencies open.'

She was at an event and turned around to meet a 'big fan'.

Dr. Martin Luther King.

She told him, "The Star Trek thing is just temporary. I'm going back to theater."

Dr. King replied, "Oh, no; I'm afraid you can't do that. You must stay. You are a person of color in a command position in the future. Stay, and be a beacon to us all."

So she stayed.

Then there were three.

Shatner just turned 91.
Takei is 85.
And Walter Koenig is also 85.

Methinks Shatner will outlive them all, just to spite George.

"I regret to inform you that a great light in the firmament no longer shines for us as it has for so many years.

Last night, my mother, Nichelle Nichols, succumbed to natural causes and passed away. Her light, however, like the ancient galaxies now being seen for the first time, will remain for us and future generations to enjoy, learn from, and draw inspiration.

Hers was a life well lived and as such a model for us all."

Today's Trek Toot. It is a sad one.

RIP Nichelle Nichols.

She has been having lots of health issues the past few years, and also dealing with legal issues regarding her exploitation by family members.

May she rest in peace.

Biden just tested positive for the Chinese virus again.
What that definition of insanity, about doing the same thing over and over again?

My pal Jim is doing a charity auction of a guy's toy collection to pay for his cancer treatment. It's live now and the link is here. Donations are also welcome.

So my large format printer was acting up. I replaced the controller card for the hotend and it is working. For now.

Which is good because I have to finish printing this beast.
