@Lonestar Here’s an example of how UNLV Ed professors use OUR money. Note: This applies to any other major university.

“Quasi-experimental”. Do they make shit up during half of the project? Does “shifting” mean having some horn rimmed goggle wearing harpy call the teachers racists until they agree 100%?

This is why I could never go back to college. So much grift and ideological sleaze.

@Lonestar But wait, there’s more! She got money the year before to do something similar!

Writing grants essentially boils down to using big words that not even a typical DoEd employee can understand, but still get money out of anyways!

@IrredeemableOne @Lonestar It's a buzzword that refers to using computers and other assorted multimedia in the classroom.

@Argentum47 @Lonestar

Thanks.

I think they should focus on the Writing Curriculum in schools. 😏

@IrredeemableOne @Lonestar I wholeheartedly agree. Writing is such a key skill in early childhood neurocognitive and motor skills development.

I would get shunned from academia for saying that.

@Argentum47

You would.

I would never tell. :)

A great article here and I love this method.

I am using this method with my elementary kids at home, since their writing in school is lagging.

@Lonestar

@IrredeemableOne @Lonestar "So far, however, six years after its rollout, the Core hasn’t led to much measurable improvement on the page. Students continue to arrive on college campuses needing remediation in basic writing skills."

That says it all.
