I’ve been watching that project. You can actually see the apartments behind what was once trees.

@DLMarch54

Don't you just love it when they do that?

In Edmond they Build Legends V on a site of 2nd Street and Coltrane that was well treed and hosted a goodly number of wild animals.

The tree shredders were on semi trailers.

Oklahoma City and surrounding areas are no longer a well keep secret. We are growing!

@DLMarch54

We are still a flat zone though.

Everything is far apart. For me to drive to the bird site is about 35 miles south. The metro is just about as wide.

The cities and towns within a radius of roughly 25 miles (40 km) from downtown Oklahoma City make up the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area. Counties in the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area include Canadian, Cleveland, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, and Oklahoma.

with about 1.4 Million Population

@EarlThePearls

Ironically, that is much of the appeal of living here. I grew up in Dallas and saw the growth take place up until 1992. I am seeing a reproduction of that same scenario. It’s almost eerie to watch.

@DLMarch54

I grew up in the Midwest and saw the collapse of manufacturing first hand

When I started coming to OKC in the late 80s it was nice to see a place growing instead of dying

@DLMarch54

And Norman is supposed to be a Progressive place?

They are also working to defund the police.

@EarlThePearls

Oklahoma has game wardens, I suppose they were bypassed entirely
If a citizen shot them, they would be on it and would not appreciate this especially during nesting season

@EarlThePearls

Hopefully the wardens will come in and check the for nests and little ones to take to rehabbers
