The human brain is so fascinating! The Brain and Behavior was my favorite course when I was getting my Bachelor's in Psychology.
I recently heard a talk by a therapist on what we can do to improve our four "Happiness Hormones." Serotonin is one of them, and it fits perfectly with what your family member is doing.
I'll thread my notes, because it was helpful to me and may be helpful for others.

I’ve been incommunicado here for a couple days. Wednesday was spent packing and flying to Texas, where I was met by my sister and her oldest son, and we spent the night at his house outside of Ft. Worth. Yesterday, my sister and I made a leisurely drive back to her house outside of Abilene and hung out with her other two sons and their families until pretty late.
I’ll make a thread of my visit as time permits, sharing some stories and pictures in the process.
Dick Van Dyke is still alive. He's 97, and California hasn't revoked his driver's license.

Greater Los Angeles got a tornado yesterday. First one since 1983. From the video in the article, you can tell that Californians don't have ANY instincts about how to behave during a tornado.

Moderna – which received about $10 billion in taxpayer money to produce its COVID-19 vaccine and has since earned billions more in profits selling it – was sued in early 2022 by Genevant Sciences and Arbutus Biopharma Corp., which accused Moderna of using technology they have patented in its vaccine. The two companies have asked a federal court in Delaware to award them damages for the infringement.

"Bungled" would seem to imply that there was something to the "case" to begin with, and the FBI just lost it through incompetence, rather than it being entirely the political weaponization of the agency by Hillary Clinton and Democrat partisans in the Obama Administration.
