@Jaime —There are several ironies at work here:
The first—Oprah owes a great deal of her meteoric rise to fame to the millions of (mostly White) suburban women who watched her daytime talk show. The capitalist system at work.
Secondly: the candidate she has chosen to endorse has a very sketchy history with an unarmed Black male jogger. Fortunately the jogger has lived to tell his story. Which is true.
What did she say?
Let’s just say she looks down upon the less fortunate. Yet she had no shame trying to get them to vote for Obama.
Those who label words as violence do so with the sole purpose of justifying violence against words.
