1) He means it. POTUS Trump tweet...

"This is the time for Mexico, with the help of the United States, to wage WAR on the drug cartels and wipe them off the face of the earth. We merely await a call from your great new president!"

2) I'm just guessing but Trump may seek Congressional approval to deploy US Special Forces into Mexico. That way he gets them to formally vote on whether or not they support Mexican drug cartels.

@Alex_Graham Great point. My addition is Trump wouldn't tweet this unless he was ready with something. To take on the cartels is not lightweight thinking.

And then we get to see all the same folks who screamed at him for pulling troops out of Syria screaming at him for deploying troops to protect Americans and our border.

@Alex_Graham I'm ready. Let's wipe these bastards off the map. Cartels are no better than ISIS.

@Alex_Graham Agree 100%. @pgagner has a great point about Trump being ready or he wouldn't tweet about it.

@Alex_Graham Are you kidding? Congress would never vote against the suppliers of their surrepticious pay checks.

Trump is nothing if not deliberate in his words and actions. I agree he is baiting them to show their hands. And they are too stupid to realize his genius.

I truly feel this has been something that has been discussed in the past between Trump and Mexico's President.
When he praises Mexico for their 27K troops on the border to help stop illegals getting in here, it made me wonder if and when Mexico needed help with these cartels that we would lend a hand.
My prayers go to the families of the Americans killed. 💔 🙏

@Alex_Graham YES!!!! Wwwaayyyy past time!!! Not only for American travelers but the people that live there are treated like slaves to work for the cartels!! It’s horrible. Those here that talk about slavery reimbursment should go see today’s live slavery and then figure out how to stop it. If they think they were a victim of slavery they should want to stop it everywhere!’

Those who label words as violence do so with the sole purpose of justifying violence against words.
